Sony's new 20-inch (model SSM-20L1) monitors display 600 TV lines of resolution and feature adjustable color temperature. This model replaces the SSM-20N5U .Other highlights include selectable 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios, both NTSC and PAL operation and two video inputs. These monitors are rack mountable taking up 8U and 10U spaces respectively, with an optional 19-inch EIA/JIS rack mount kit available.

The SSM20L1 models operate in 480/60i and 575/50i formats, and also include composite and Y/C connectors plus front-facing speakers. A menu system, with user memory, selects and stores chroma, phase, brightness, contrast and volume. Trinitron tube assemblies reliably produce sharp images and accurate colors.
