Automatic electronic shutter and automatic gain control assure that the camera will operate in a wide range of lighting conditions (using inexpensive lenses). For more extreme lighting conditions, the camera also supports the use of DC-type or EE-type auto iris lenses.

With 470 TV lines resolution and Digital Signal Processing (DSP), the camera delivers a clean, sharp picture typically available only from more expensive cameras.

Additionally, the camera features phase adjustable line-lock for "roll-free" switching, and a fully isolated power supply which allows multiple cameras to be connected to a single 24 VAC source. This isolation also helps eliminate ground loops
